From Raymond Rogers paper (published on Thermochimica Acta): “Pyrolysis-mass-spectrometry results from the sample area coupled with microscopic and microchemical observations prove that the radiocarbon sample was not part of the original cloth of the Shroud of Turin. The radiocarbon date was thus not valid for determining the true age of the shroud”.

    If theologians, scientists, and academics had read the New Testament carefully, the only research necessary would have been examining the blood spots and wrist wounds from models of Muslim and /or Persian crucifixion. John 19:35 looks very much like a lie from the psychological evidence. There is also no mention of the spear in the other gospels.
