Recently, Ponto Media has pointed to an interesting list of educational blogs: Top 20 EduBlogs (see also the comments). A Top like this is, above all, a personal selection. Probably because of that, George Siemens, author of elearnspace, has decided to update its own list of Educational and Technology blogs (again, check also the comments), [...]

Universities Worldwide is the title of one of the most popular posts in my other blog Quick Picks, Quick Site of the Day section. When I was reading the comment of Marko Petkovic to the previous post, I’ve decided to recommend his site, Chemistry Pictures, where some interesting images can be found (at least for students and teachers). All of these images can be used freely since they are in the public domain. Other interesting chemistry pictures resources: Chemistry [...]

Best Web Sites for Teachers is an excellent compilation of sites by Graeme Daniel, published on wwwtools for Education, specially recommended for educators (an email address may be required to access the site).

Steve Marsden’s Chemistry Resources for students and teachers is a very interesting site, with materials like a periodic table, lectures, laboratory experiments, links for other sites, software or multimedia resources. This site can be useful not only for Chemistry students or teachers but also for those who have some interest in Chemistry. A must visit [...]

Mol4D – Molecules in four dimensions – is a general and organic chemistry educational web site. Interactive tutorials with animated molecules and an online editor to build molecules, perform conformational analysis or model some reactions. Very good.

This site provides chemistry, environmental and hazardous materials educational resources including: a detailed periodic table of the elements, chemical database, hazmat emergency response guides, articles on environmental, hazardous materials and chemistry issues, and much more. The idea is that teachers use these resources so that students have a positive learning experience. In the environmental side, [...]

Stephen Lower, from Department of Chemistry, Simon Fraser University, Canada, keeps this magnificent collection of annotated links to instructional materials and other resources of interest to Chemistry teachers. The section specially designed for students enrolled in General Chemistry courses, General Chemistry Starting Points for students, is also highly recommended.
