Rare Birds Yearbook 2008. ‘The first edition of Rare Birds Yearbook will be published in association with BirdLife International in October 2007.
The purpose of the book is to put focus on the most endangered species in the world – their current situation, future prospects and what can be done to save them for coming generations. Apart from the directory section of the 189 critically endangered species, the yearbook will have a number of specially written feature articles on issues related to threatened birds such as migration, rare bird sites and taxonomy. The book will also consist of sections on statistics and lists, a directory of regional organisations and much more. In addition, £4.00 for each sold book is donated straight to BirdLife International’s conservation work.’
