We just shouldn't be using food. Algae can be grown at a much higher density, and there's certainly nothing wrong with using corn cobs and other detritus. Nothing wrong with bio-fuels. Rather than cure the symptom, we should be looking at the cause of the problem which is our transport systems. Our over reliance on personal vehicles is what's causing the problem, let's fix that THEN worry about destroying eco-systems by planting millions of hectares of bio-fuels. Hey,

I’d like to add bio-fuels to my site (which hopefully people will recognise as ironic) but I’m thinking that they’re not the best way to go. Rather than cure the symptom, we should be looking at the cause of the problem which is our transport systems.
